WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS LIKE IF WE WANT TO PURSUE YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?

My goal is to make our time together as simple and clear as possible, ensuring your ease and clarity during the booking process. I tailor the process to fit your needs and preferences. While some couples want to sit down in person, others prefer to communicate via phone, while some couples know right away if they want to move forward. Once you decide to book with me, I will draft a contract for you, and there will be a 20% retainer fee to secure your date. Once those two things are done, you're all set to go!

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TOWARDS CAPTURING YOUR CLIENTS?

My main goal in every photography session is to make sure you're . Each session is photographed differently, depending on who YOU are! My specialty is capturing natural movement, emotions, and candid moments. I can provide guidance when needed, but ultimately, I want the session to be all about YOU!

HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN WE EXPECT?

A lot of photographers will only allow clients to have a certain amount of photos without extra charges, I am big on giving as much as I can! You chose me to capture your wedding day; I want you to have as many beautiful photos possible even the silly ones! The amount of photos one can receive ranges between 500-1000. It depends on the amount of hours you choose, whether or not you have a wedding party, the size of your guest list, etc.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW HOW TO POSE MYSELF?

This is a very normal and real concern to have. As I mentioned above, I want you to feel comfortable and be yourself. I don’t expect you to know what you’re doing, and I will definitely let you know if your hands are placed awkwardly or if you have little too much chin happening. A good photograph for me is all in the tiny details. My goal is to help you have a relaxed and enjoyable experience and ultimately make sure you look GOOD. 

WHEN SHOULD WE EXPECT OUR PHOTOS?

My goal is to get your images to you as soon as possible! The time of the year can also have an effect on this. My contract states 4-7 weeks for delivery. However, if you are getting married in the dead of winter, chances are you'll receive your photos within the month, while someone who is getting married during the height of the season may not receive their photos as quickly.

DO YOU HELP STYLE YOUR CLIENTS FOR THEIR SESSIONS?

Yes! I love helping plan shoots and looking through your mood boards. Pinterest is my best friend and ultimate sidekick. Some clients are great at styling themselves, while others need a little help, and that's OK! I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and look amazing in your photos. I'm game to assist in any way to help us reach that goal. Whether it's helping pick out the best bridesmaids' dress color, giving feedback on your outfit ideas, or even sending my own ideas, I'm here for it all. My biggest piece of advice is to dress like you but with a little extra. If dresses aren't your thing - DON'T WEAR ONE! If you're a guy who hates button-ups - ditch it! Be you, and I'll work my magic to capture YOU.

I WANT MY PETS IN MY PHOTOS, IS THIS OKAY?

100% YES! Pets are always welcome. I'm very much an animal person.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Typically, my wedding packages require a 30% retainer, with the remaining balance due two weeks before the wedding day. However, I'm always open to discussing this with clients and possibly establishing a payment plan. I understand that wedding planning can be very expensive and overwhelming for couples. Please communicate your financial concerns with me, and I'll work with you to find a solution that fits your needs.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/ RESCHEDULING POLICY?

My cancellation policy is pretty straightforward: the retainer you put down when booking with me is non-refundable. Retainers are nonrefundable because when we book your date, we take it off my calendar, and no one else is able to inquire for that date. The retainer establishes the commitment to provide you with this service on your chosen day. This policy applies to all sessions, not just weddings. If you cancel or don’t show up, your retainer will serve as a cancellation fee. If you need to reschedule your wedding or session due to an emergency or weather, your retainer will transfer over to the new date. Rescheduling for reasons other than this may be subject to a rebooking fee. Rescheduling a session with less than 72 hours' notice will result in a rebooking fee. Weekend dates between the months of June to September will have a much higher rebooking fee than a weekend in, let's say, February. Weddings being rescheduled due to an act of God (for example, COVID-19) will result in no rebooking fee.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS? ARE THERE TRAVEL FEES?

Yes! I am willing to travel anywhere! Traveling for a wedding involves a lot of different factors, so we'll need to discuss the details beforehand to establish a reasonable travel fee. I also have a travel bucket list! If you're planning to have your special day in one of those places, all I ask is that you cover my travel expenses, and accommodations, and in return, I'll photograph your wedding at no additional cost! My current bucket list includes: Greece, Iceland, Spain, Salt Flats - NV, Agape - San Clemente, Greenhouse Two Rivers - MO, and Garden of the Gods - CO.

PHOTOGRAPHY CAN BE QUITE AN INVESTMENT, WHY IS THIS?

I am including this question because it's not common knowledge on how much work goes into event photography. Wedding photography is more complex than it looks; trust me! There is so much technical experience and prep work that goes into understanding lighting, angles, skin tones, positioning, and being able to capture candid moments intentionally! Not to mention the constant updating of gear over time to make sure things are working properly at your wedding. It takes years for photographers to perfect their style of work. It is essentially an art form. It took me about 3 years to truly find who I am as a brand. I'll spend hours prepping for weddings, between consults, engagement sessions, and creating timelines to capturing the wedding day itself; then after the event is over, we aren't even finished! We spend hours culling through the thousands of images we took from your day, editing them by hand to make sure they are consistent, and the storyline flows in a way that you'll remember it forever! Wedding images are the only tangible record you will have from your day. The photos, this investment, is truly forever and it makes me so happy to know you chose me to photograph your love!

I cannot express how much joy it brings me to get to know each and every one of you. I am truly honored to be able to capture images that you'll cherish for the rest of your life! With hundreds, and I mean HUNDREDS of professional photographers out there, I understand what a significant decision this is. What sets me apart is my desire and willingness to connect with my clients more as friends than anything else. I want to celebrate WITH you on your wedding day, send congratulation texts on your graduation day, and be there photographing over the years as your family grows.
